A large pair of French aged ormolu-mounted sevres-style turquoise-ground porcelain vases and lids, both painted with mythological scene of part of the Vulcan presenting Venus with arms for Aeneas after the painting of François Boucher 1757, within a richly gilt scrolling foliage cartouche terminates up to a musical trophy, the reverse with landscape scene, the shoulder flanked by upright acanthus-scroll handles suspending rings, with bottleneck form enriched to the front with a foliate musical trophy and circled with ormolu laurel wreath, surmounted with domed lids with female bust figurine finial, raised on ornamented conforming socle and square base with foliate cartouche.
